زندگی
بر سایه‌هایی خاکستری
نقش بسته است
گو اینکه آسمان
روی دریا دراز کشیده
و مویه‌اش را سر دهد.

یک عاشق
که قلبت را
بهتر از تو می‌شناسد
شعر نوشتن
شبیه چیست؟
چون در باران ایستادن است.

حالا پیاده رو
خالی ست
نیمکت ِ آشنای پارک
خالی ست
حال آنکه ، تمام شوری که عمری داشتم
رد پاهایی بارانی بود.

روزی ، روزگاری انگاشتم
که صدایی هستم
و پنداشتم
که دنیایی را دگرگون می‌سازد
اینک سکوتی هستم
که مرا دگرگون می‌سازد.

in shades of grey
as through the sky
lay upon the sea
and weeps.

It is a lover
who knows your heart
better than you.
What is it like
to write a poem?
It’s just standing
in the rain.

The sidewalk is vacant now
A familiar park bench
sits empty
and all the passion
I ever hold in this world
is just footprints in the rain.

There was a time
when I thought
I was a voice
and I thought
voices changed the world
But now I am silence
and it is silence
that changes me.
